PROLOGUE

There was a room in the research facility that even Ellen didn’t even have access to. It was Samuel’s underground lab. It was full of high tech gadgets personally created by his team of experts and all of them lived full time in the lab.

In the corners of this lab, there were various transparent cylindrical containers, big enough to accommodate five people at a time. They each held a floating human and were filled with a strange light blue liquid. There were various thin tubes connected to the containers and the ends were connected to different monitors, containing the vital information of each of the people.

Currently, all the monitors showed that all the people in the containers were either dead or half dead. Their eyes were all closed and some were just on the edge of rotting. They had been dead for years according to the outside world. However, they were all forced into a deep coma.

There wasn’t a tube connected to their heads but strangely all their brain activity was reflected in a monitor. Their brains looked stable but were actually on the verge of collapse. It showed the huge amounts of effort to keep them alive.

In one of the tubes was a relatively young man. His skin was deathly pale but surprisingly both his heart and brain were in good condition. If anybody saw him, they would recognize him immediately. He was the young hero of the Terra country who had gotten an Amethyst Honor Badge, the highest honor of the Death Corps. He was rumored to have passed away and had a huge military burial.

His name was Daniel Balogun and at that moment, his eyes that were firmly closed, opened wide.
